If you’re an ibi customer wondering about your ibi family and what changes may come—or if you’re a potential customer who needs to understand what our recent acquisition by TIBCO means for you and your upcoming plans—read on!

  1. Keeping our core mission, values, and commitments

We know you love connecting with us as much as we do with you. First things first: the values that underscore our most dearly held ibi traditions remain an integral part of who we are as TIBCO + ibi.

Virtual User Groups, the award-winning myibi community, and FOCUS Fridays will continue. In fact, they’re already in full swing:

  • Spring and Fall User Groups: Your favorite host, Shay Creech, will continue to host these all-virtual events, providing insights into products and best practices as well as industry-specific sessions. You can view the first session, which kicked off on March 4th, on-demand.
  • myibi: Our award-winning community remains the password-protected place for engaging with this vibrant group.
  • FOCUS Fridays rocks on with its cult following and famous hosts “The Walters,” who lend their unique brand of deep-dive product training.

If you’re wondering if ibi will continue to develop and innovate the products you know and love, the answer is a resounding “Yes!” We know you count on us to power your critical business processes, and we’ll continue to release new features and well as food for thought, such as this blog from Walter Blood, the one and only.

  1. More of us to love: get ready for more options

Both ibi and TIBCO offer cloud solutions. As we integrate across our product portfolios, you’ll hear more about how our cloud offerings complement one another and how they support the data and analytics capabilities that power your business.

If you’re currently on the ibi Cloud, you won’t need to make any immediate changes. Your account and customer support teams will be in constant touch to keep you informed as new offerings become available.

  1. To ibi partners and agents: an enthusiastic welcome to the TIBCO family

We want all our valued partners and agents to join the TIBCO family! Both organizations have a strong strategic focus on our partners and agents. For more information, check out what Tony Beller, recently named 2021 CRN Channel Chief SVP Partners who joined TIBCO in August 2020, has to say about the industry’s focus and acquisition of ibi.   1. New virtual events in place of ibi Summit

While we won’t be hosting the ibi Summit this year, you’ll have a wealth of events – all virtual for now – that will provide the same essential elements, with some exciting new additions. The line-up at TIBCO features a star-studded event, TIBCO NOW. Last year, featured speakers included World Cup Champion Megan Rapinoe, F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, author and activist Padma Lakshmi, and athletes John Coyle and John Mclean. You can also look forward to the TIBCO Analytics Forum, which is coming up in May 2020.

  1. TIBCO + ibi: Have we got some swag for you

Dan Ortolani is responsible for leading all aspects of technical support for TIBCO customers who utilize the WebFOCUS, Omni and FOCUS family of products. During his 30-plus years of experience with these products, he has held senior positions in both Customer Support and Product Management. Dan has led the expansion of the company’s commitment to support and advocate for its customers’ success through a comprehensive set of programs and services, including Cloud Managed Services, Premium Support Services, Advanced Technology Services, Global Help Desk, and Technical Knowledge Management. Dan and his team are consistently recognized for excellence in enterprise-class customer support via numerous industry awards annually.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and has completed coursework at Stanford University’s Executive College program in Palo Alto, CA.
