Data quality and data integration are key capabilities in the ibi data platform, and they are foundational building blocks that companies embarking on data transformation have to get right. In both reports, we get high marks for our technology and the integration of our tools, but to us, that’s table stakes. We are an innovative company doing exciting things with that technology.

Our ability to use data science to automate repetitive workflows, especially in data prep and data quality functions, as well as to augment the insights that come from that data, means our customers can democratize the use of AI and ML across their organizations, adding value to every business function along the data value chain. The applications are truly transformative, from matching patient data with incredible accuracy to empowering business users to build and train machine learning models that analyze future business outcomes.
We believe that our positioning as a Visionary also reflects our relentless focus on the customer experience and on business solutions, which sets us apart in the marketplace. Gartner emphasizes that all companies included in any Magic Quadrant are in the report because they are the best in the space. Gartner guides their clients to choose vendors that best match their specific use case and requirements. Choosing a partner in the Niche, Challenger, or Visionary quadrants can be a better choice than a vendor in the Leader quadrant.
In addition, you may ask what is it that companies in the Leader quadrant have that we Visionary quadrant companies do not? Mega-size for one thing. The Leader quadrant tends to include very large companies, with expensive products that may not be a good fit for everyone.
Other Leader quadrant companies have a narrow focus on the category at hand. We are not a one-trick pony. Our clients may come to us for analytics and then realize they have data quality or data integration issues they need to address. Or they come to us to resolve their data issues and realize the value of combining data solutions with an analytics platform from the same vendor. Or they come to us because we specialize in their industry.
