Information Builders Honored Again for Best Midmarket Solution

Melissa Treier

Information Builders has another midmarket honor to celebrate!

At the Midmarket CIO Forum late last month in San Antonio, we were once again a winner for Best Midmarket Software Solution. What is particularly special about this recognition is that it is voted on by the Forum attendees. Of the 100 CIOs surveyed, 94 voted for Information Builders! This is a recognition we’re both pleased and humbled to receive.

You may ask well, why? What is it about Information Builders and our solutions that align so well with the midmarket?

To start, we are a midmarket company as well. So we understand the unique challenges that are present and how to best address them. While midmarket companies may be perceived by some as having simpler needs, requiring less innovative strategies, we know that isn’t the case. You still have complex problems to solve. This was recognized by EMA Radar and their most recent study for BI Platforms for Mid-Sized Organizations (Q4 2015) where Information Builders was ranked number 1. We provide exceptional technology breadth that drives maximum business value balanced with deployment cost efficiency, something else very important to the midmarket.

And this year, we made it even easier to get started with our BI and analytics platform, WebFOCUS. Our new WebFOCUS Business User Edition, or BUE, is designed for groups of up to 100 users seeking to create and share reports, charts, dashboards and other BI and analytics content via simplified standalone environment, either on-premise or in the cloud. BUE empowers business users to generate impactful value from their data without necessitating the involvement of IT or BI developers. Nearly 50 CIOs we spoke with at the CIO Forum were interested in a trial of BUE.

Another impactful technology driver recognized by the Forum was our patented in-document analytics capability which provides portable BI and analytics for everyone, including non-employee user constituencies, like partners and customers.  In-document analytics combines data and interactive controls into a single self-contained HTML file that provides BI and analytics in a completely portable and disconnected environment, with absolutely no software required. Pretty cool!

We really enjoyed our conversations with the midmarket executives. As always, thanks to our customers for sharing their stories and underscoring how Information Builders has helped them to meet their unique midmarket needs.

Hopefully, we’ll see you next year!
