TIBCO + ibi: what happens when a leader and a visionary combine

The rarest kind of acquisition involves two companies with equal levels of excellence and truly complementary strengths. Such is the joining of TIBCO and ibi.

For evidence of what these companies have accomplished independently, you only need to look at the Gartner Magic Quadrant, a highly respected system for distinguishing and categorizing the companies within a narrowly specific industry.

TIBCO Software was named as a Leader in the Gartner 2021 Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms. Evaluated according to its ability to execute and the completeness of its vision, TIBCO Software was placed in the leader Quadrant and placed higher than most of the evaluated 20 companies in the industry. TIBCO Software was acknowledged – for the third year in a row.

Also, for the second year in a row, Gartner named TIBCO as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management Solutions. We believe it’s a great recognition to be named a Leader for executing well against our current vision and being well-positioned for tomorrow.

ibi is also in Gartner sights. Gartner distinguished ibi as a Visionary in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions, and again in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools. This isn’t the first year ibi has appeared on either of these lists. Just like TIBCO, ibi has consistently built upon its strengths to maintain a position in the Magic Quadrant.

The fact that both of these companies regularly appear on the Magic Quadrants makes the announcement of this acquisition even more exciting. The exploding field of data integration and management has long needed a company to set a standard for the rest – one that offers a complete suite of powerful features that can unlock the immense potential of data. Now that TIBCO and ibi are combining their talents, that company is finally here.

TIBCO + ibi: the dawn of a new day for data

By now, every company understands the importance of data to its long-term success. Much less clear is how to turn a resource that’s notorious for its immense scale, rapid speed, and unruly character into something with real value.

Thus far, companies have relied on a patchwork of people, processes, and products to manage their data – with underwhelming results. One recent survey shows nearly half of companies aren’t using key data for decision making and 68 percent say they could learn more from their data if they had more time.

With the acquisition of ibi by TIBCO, companies have a complete solution for optimizing their data –  as well as a shortcut to digital transformation. The Visionary data management and analytics capabilities built by ibi will weave into the advanced TIBCO Connected Intelligence platform. The TIBCO Hyperconverged Analytics offering will also benefit from the integration with ibi’s WebFOCUS® analytics solution.

In some ways, ibi builds on TIBCO’s existing strengths. In others, it brings new capabilities to the already expansive TIBCO ecosystem. The result is a 360-degree solution for users ready to make data both manageable and impactful. Becoming data-driven has never been so easy.

Expect TIBCO, now enhanced by ibi, to appear on a lot more Magic Quadrants in the coming years. Go with a proven solution made better than ever. Register today at Even if you can’t join us on March 30th, we’ll send you a link to the replay.
