ibi Earns Top Score in Ventana Research’s 2019 Value Index For Analytics and Business Intelligence
Data and Analytics Portfolio Earns Company Value Index Leader Designation in Three Categories

Information Builders (ibi), a leader in business intelligence (BI), analytics and data management solutions, today announced that the company earned the top overall score in Ventana Research’s 2019 Value Index for Analytics and Business Intelligence and was designated a Value Index Leader across three evaluation categories: Capability, Reliability, and Manageability.
Ventana Research’s 2019 Value Index for Analytics and Business Intelligence offers an assessment of how vendors meet buyers’ requirements for software that enables and supports analytics and BI. Leveraging methodology that mirrors how organizations assess vendors and solutions, the comprehensive report considers seven evaluation criteria weighted to reflect buyers’ needs. In this year’s report, Ventana Research evaluated 15 vendors’ solutions, including ibi’s WebFOCUS, iWay, and Omni-Gen™.
ibi earned the highest overall weighted score for its performance across all seven evaluation criteria, which include product and customer-assurance categories. In evaluating vendors for its Capability category, Ventana Research evaluated more than 500 functions in 50 categories, as well as the solutions support for collaborating, communicating, and acting on analytics. ibi’s designation as a Value Index Leader in this Capability category reflects its solutions’ ability to empower users with data discovery and analytical content that’s easy to find, use, and share across the enterprise.
Additionally, the Value Index recognizes the need for BI and analytics solutions that scale and perform unfailingly on existing architecture, as well as the impact that effective installations and administration matters, such as security and licensing, can have on deployments. These realities are reflected in Ventana Research’s Reliability and Manageability categories – both in which ibi is recognized as a Value Index Leader.
