Young Life Selects ibi to Improve Donor Relations
Data and Analytics Platform Selected for Scalability, Ease of Use, Cloud Deployment and Integration, and Salesforce-Embedded Analytics Capabilities
New York, NY
Information Builders (ibi), a leader in business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data management solutions, announced that Young Life, a Christian-based nonprofit based in Colorado Springs, CO, has selected ibi as its BI and data management solutions partner. Young Life will be implementing the WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform and Omni-Gen™ to improve donor relations and become a more data-driven organization.
With decades of data from more than 200 data sources, Young Life is eager to tap into this information and gain a better understanding of the life cycle of the organization’s donors, which was a challenge for the nonprofit and made it difficult to effectively engage its donors. To improve donor relations and remove the overarching data integration and analytics roadblocks, Newt Crenshaw, president of Young Life, tasked the IT team to develop an enterprise-wide data management and analytics strategy.
Young Life evaluated a number of vendors and selected ibi for its scalability, flexibility, ease of use, and ability to deploy in the cloud. This allows the nonprofit to benefit from all of the platform’s capabilities with managed hosting from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Another key driver in the decision was the concept of partnership and ibi’s commitment to the success of Young Life’s data strategy.
The company-wide implementation will benefit all stakeholder groups including executives, staff, and donors. WebFOCUS will be embedded into Salesforce to reach thousands of the nonprofit’s area directors to provide real-time, accurate reporting and insights. The organization will also have access to a variety of apps including single view of the donor, executive dashboards, donor reporting, Infographics for donor annual statements, and more. With WebFOCUS Total Access Cloud and Omni-Gen Customer Cloud, Young Life will be able to engage donors more effectively on an enterprise scale through personalized analytics.
Steve Thompson, chief operating officer, Young Life, said:
“The ability to experience the data that reflects our work with kids around the world will empower leadership with new tools for decision-making, give staff innovative ways to think about their work, and provide donors with a fresh perspective on the lives they are impacting. We are excited to partner with ibi to help us grow this foundation in our organization.”
Frank Vella, chief operating officer, ibi, said:
“Along with many other similar organizations, Young Life has access to a large volume of valuable data, but needed a way to optimize the donor experience by using that data to drive insights and ultimately growth. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Young Life and work with them to maximize the potential in the donor data. ibi’s solutions will enable Young Life to consolidate information and create a user-friendly environment to help employees make data-driven decisions. We look forward to seeing Young Life benefit from our solutions over our five-year partnership.”
